Terms & Conditions

Please note that where an item of jewellery is individually made to order may sometimes take up to four weeks to deliver (unless otherwise stated). If you require something for a particular date please contact me so that I can endeavour to meet your requirements.

Jewellery Made to order including commissions
Where an item of jewellery is out of stock and you request one to be made, to avoid disappointment, it should be noted that the image and sizes provided are guidelines only and that the piece made for you may vary slightly. 50% of the total amount is required before work commences and the remainder is to be paid upon completion of the work.

Where a commission has been requested a free quote will be determined based on the design and information you provide; once this has been agreed you will be required to pay 50% of the lowest range of the estimate before work commences and the balance is to be paid upon completion of the work.

If there are circumstances which mean that the timescale for making your item is affected in anyway, such as, illness or waiting for a materials order to arrive you will be informed immediately of the eventuality and if there is a deadline that cannot be met a full refund (less any charges) will be made on the condition that no work has begun.

Returns, refunds and how to complain

Returning an item
When all's said and done I want you to be completely satisfied with your unique piece of hand-crafted jewellery and should the case arise where you are not happy with what you have bought, you are entitled to a ten day cooling off period, during which time you may return or exchange items. A full refund will be made when the item(s) have been returned to Caldera Gallery, at the cost of the purchaser by Royal Mail Special Next Day delivery, unworn, in good condition and with original packaging.
On receipt of the returned item(s) at Caldera Gallery, purchases made by PayPal will be refunded to PayPal accounts less any charges incurred, and purchases made by cheque will be refunded by cheque. I will only bear the cost of return when the goods are faulty or damaged, and when they are returned as in the instructions detailed in the returns form which came with your purchase.

Refunds
Please note that refunds may take up to 10 days to be processed once the item(s) have been received in the condition they were originally sent along with the completed returns slip and will be made in the same way as the original payment, for example, if PayPal was used, the money (less charges) would be refunded to your PayPal account.

In most cases it will not be possible to make a refund on items which have been either personalised, specially commissioned or vary from the pieces found on the website.

Making a complaint
I hope that you are happy with your purchase, and the service you receive, but if you are not, please direct your complaint to me via the postal address or e-mail address found on my contact page.

Please note: when purchasing online, to proceed past the checkout indicates that you have read and understood the terms and conditions stated here, and that having done so signifies compliance. Such contracts are subject to The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. Your statutory rights remain.
