Nicole,
Powys: "I was thrilled to receive this beautiful bone carving, called Te
Manaia (Guardian Angel) which is inspired by Maori beliefs. It is a very unusual
present [commissioned by my son] which will give me great pleasure and I hope
will, as the belief says, 'watch over me' as my life progresses." | Trevor,
Staffordshire: "I commissioned a pair of carvings for our 30th Wedding Anniversary.
I chose the twist design combined with the koru to represent our lives together.
To make them more personal I asked for our initials to be entwined and engraved
into the back of the carvings. We are very pleased with the quality and will cherish
them forever." | Roy, Leicestershire: "I met Carrie in New Zealand and was intrigued when after her return to the UK she said she was now making Maori bone carvings. I commissioned her to make me a Koru to symbolise peace, inner tranquillity and a new start. This Carrie did, and I was not disappointed. Carrie involved me throughout the design steps. As a result I have a unique and quality piece. I have since seen other commercially produced Maori bone carvings, and the piece I have is far superior in quality to any of those I have seen." | ||
